Do you love the thrill of finding and engaging with the world’s best technical professionals?  Do you pride yourself in providing a phenomenal candidate experience?  The Global Talent Acquisition team at Western Digital is looking for a Talent Sourcer who loves the challenge of finding passive talent through unconventional means!  In this role, you will find unique ways to identify and attract candidates for key critical roles in the US. You will collaborate with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to deeply understand the requirements of our jobs, their business function, and how they fit into the organization in order to effectively provide strategic sourcing solutions. 

  • Leverage current and forward-thinking sourcing tools and technologies to attract and manage candidate pools
  • Curate talent communities and maintain networks in order to build strong leads for necessary talent pools
  • Devise and engage in creative outbound marketing campaigns to attract a diverse slate of passive candidates.
  • Create role-based sourcing strategies using all available channels such as social media, databases, career websites, job boards, etc.
  • Creatively develop new and innovative sourcing/recruiting methods and tools
  • Partner closely with recruiting team and allied business partners to understand business priorities, long and short-term business objectives, and the creation of talent pipelines
  • Review and filter inbound resumes, screen candidates against basic qualifications and identify suitable candidates to provide to Recruiter
  • Participate actively in Hiring Manager kick off meeting to  understand position requirements and advise on in-market talent strategies
  • Participate in analyzing, launching and defining continuous improvement on strategies for geographic locations while building pipelines
  • Demonstrate teamwork and partnership within the Talent Acquisition team and cross functional groups (Compensation, HR Business Partners) to drive the recruiting process to success
  • 2 -5 years of talent acquisition experience
  • Direct sourcing experience within a rapidly growing global technology organization is a plus
  • A tenacious drive to win and persistence to push beyond adversity to solve the most challenging problems
  • Successful track record of achieving targets and meeting deadlines to support recruiting goals
  • Demonstrated success of navigating through ambiguity in a dynamic tech environment
  • Self-starter with an incredible work ethic and team first mentality
  • Exceptionable ability to pitch a company's story in a way that speaks to a job seeker's motivations, career goals, and interests
  • Proven organization skills - ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn and a variety of sourcing tools to identify talent pools
  • Experience leveraging branding and marketing to create/enhance company profile/image
  • Ability to cold-call and build relationships by phone
  • Savvy with ATS systems and sourcing technologies
  • Strong business acumen and EQ
  • Passionate about providing a white-glove level of service to your candidates and hiring managers
