In this position, you will coordinate and manage new product introduction, develop test methodologies to test new generation of Enterprise-grade Solid State Drives (SSD) for OEM and Hyperscale customers.  In this role  you must have Strong knowledge of digital electronics and circuits, basic knowledge of SATA, SAS and PCIe/NVMe protocol and should have a good working knowledge of various bench systems(i.e. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and meters) and software/script language (C/C++/C# and Python).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for failure analysis of SSDs and NAND components for successful launch into production, and communicating technical product status to management.
  • Define test flow and test screens to deliver high quality enterprise-grade solid-state drives (SSDs);
  • Develop test process flow and test system controls to ensure product reliability.Designing error-proofing process to ensure a robust test process.
  • Participate in product requirements document (PRD) definition.
  • Carry out FA including electrical FA (eFA) and physical FA (pFA), and defining root causes of yield loss.Driving test time reduction to reduce operating costs (opex), capital expenditure (capex), and product costs.
  • Continuously improving test flows of both existing and new products to improve coverage, meet target yields, reduce test times and reduce insertions.
  • Running proof-of-concept experiments to prove out new designs prior to adding new designs to product or tester hardware
  • Provide feedback and design inputs for new tester platforms to match product test needs.
  • Develop new products and supporting them from the new product introduction (NPI) phase to sustaining phase;Supporting drive qualification effort from engineering verification test (EVT), design validation test (DVT), and reliability demonstration test (RDT) until the sustaining phase.
  • Work with factory and suppliers to root cause failures on defective components and ensure defect free parts to maximize yield.Interfacing with design, device, process, test, and reliability engineering to solve problems and sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent with 5 or more years of related experience.
  • The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people.
  • A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. Ability to work effectively cross-functionally. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.
  •  Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  •  Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
