The Strategic Initiatives team reports directly into the EVP of the Flash business at Western Digital. We drive the initiatives which are top agenda items of the team that leads this business. Resolving these issues involves financial, data-science, management, and technical know-how.  This is not your typical strategy team. We dive in, hands on, and focus on execution. Strategic insight is imperative, but results are what we are after.

 

As a Sr. Manager in this team you will be responsible for autonomously running projects, presenting results to CxO/EVP level stakeholders, and personally driving results out of teams comprised of people who are several levels more senior than you. High performance in this role will position you for leadership opportunities in the wider Western Digital organization.

REQUIRED:

SKILLS:

  • Preferred – Prior work experience with a top consulting or investment banking firm
  • MBA degree + 3-5 years post-MBA experience
    • OR bachelor degree 10+ years in a relevant function
  • Preferred – undergrad in a technical field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or another hard science)

  • Very comfortable working in ambiguity
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and focused on getting things done
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in effectively interacting with executives
  • Very strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Experience working through change and solving complex problems
