What You Will Be Doing

As a Product Line Management for Western Digital’s Content Solutions business unit, you will engage in both strategic and tactical projects that directly impact storage and workflow solutions for general consumers up to professional film makers.  You will assist in highlighting near-term and long-term trends in addition to evaluating new and emerging technologies.  

In this position you will develop product positioning, conduct detailed market analysis, and manage complex projects that span multiple departments/disciplines.  

This position requires an individual with a passion for technology and an eagerness to learn about new hardware and software innovations. 

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Conduct market analysis/research, competitive analysis, pricing, and identify new areas for growth 
  • Define value proposition and develop business cases to drive new business and opportunities 
  • Drive a comprehensive analysis of competitors products and strategies
  • Develop models, methodologies and criteria for evaluating new product and technology concepts
  • Evaluate new technologies, competitive movements, and industry trends to influence future products and features 
  • Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle (e.g., planning, development, launch, management, exit)
  • Partner with engineering, industrial design, operations, finance, public relations, and marketing communications through the product development cycle.

Education & Experience Necessary for Success
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Product Management, Marketing, or related field 
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Interest in new and emerging technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work toward goals 
  • Comfort with ambiguity, flexible, and open to change
  • Thrive in dynamic, collaborative, and environments where no two days are the same
  • Possible travel (international/domestic)
What Makes You Special
  • MBA or graduate degree
  • Internship or working experience in the consumer electronics or storage industry
