Western Digital is seeking a leader to manage the Channel and Components Business Planning & Pricing team. This group is part of the Flash Strategy and Business Planning organization which reports into the Flash Business Unit, responsible for driving the Flash product development, go to market and P&L.
The individual will lead a team of professionals and will be responsible for talent development and driving cross-functional impact with internal and external partners. Internal partners include sales, counterpart business planning & pricing teams, finance, operations and product management teams. Externally, the individual will interface with customers and channel partners.

Candidates will be data driven, self-motivated, and flexible to frequent changes. They will have strong business and operational instincts, have led organizations and will be able to demonstrate a sustained ability to hire and develop talent. They will be strong communicators and collaborators and be able to work successfully across global teams.

This full-time role reports into the VP of Flash Strategy and Business Planning.


  • Drive distribution channel and components pricing and programs, while leading a team to enable profitable growth of the business in key markets, and across multiple product categories
  • Drive business growth across multiple channels and markets, while managing the challenging inter-dependencies and conflicts between them
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on sales and revenue performance, including developing a deep understanding of the channel, regional, and vertical dynamics and implications for Western Digital strategy in each market
  • Partner with Finance and product management teams, in driving both long-range and annual plans
  • Drive business execution with ability to quickly move from high level conversations into detailed operational discussions
  • Anticipate and understand short and long-term competitive market trends

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of management experience in roles involving sales, operations, pricing and profitability management
  • Experience in leading and developing people
  • Experience in a data-driven environment
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Channel Marketing, Product and Operations and Customers
  • Proven track record in making business decisions, including identifying gaps or business needs, and innovating and scaling solutions
  • Proven track record of managing profitability across multiple channels (distribution, e-tail, Brick and Mortar and internal commerce website)
