Western Digital is seeking a Global Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager for its WD and G-Technology brands. In this role, you will be responsible for executing the global social digital strategy related to these brands, working with a cross-functional team to plan, create and execute digital content and campaigns with the goal of driving awareness, engagement and conversions for WD and G-Technology branded products. You will also drive programs and campaigns with our key influencers and consumers. 

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an avid marketer who enjoys creative and empathetic story-telling. You are passionate about consumers, digital marketing and social media. You also have a keen appreciation for technology. Understanding digital marketing tools such as search, display, videos, mobile that help achieve awareness, engagement and sales will be critical. 

 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, create, and curate compelling content for social media editorial calendars that can be leveraged across platforms and global channels
  • Work with influencers to curate content and publish assets across social channels
  • Develop, concept, and execute GTM social campaigns for related products 
  • Plan and execute ad spend across platforms and manage delegated budget 
  • Support regional teams in providing content and best practices for digital and social media 
  • Coordinate GTM planning with internal & external stakeholders
  • Participate in internal roadmap meetings and provide social media input
  • Perform community management on various social media channels and establish the outward voice for WD and G-Technology
  • Establish and deliver KPIs that measure the effectiveness of digital content and campaigns globally
  • Develop a best practice of A/B testing creative, copy, audience targets, etc. that measure and assess social media performance - make adjustments accordingly to improve reach and engagement 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-3 years of marketing, digital or social media experience for a reputable consumer brand
  • Bachelors in Marketing, Advertising or associated field from a top tier school 
  • Experienced in social media platforms, tools, and community management and a personal user 
  • Excellent copy writing skills, detail oriented and organized
  • An energetic, creative, self-starter with the ability to influence a team
  • Ability to work globally with a large number of stakeholders and manage deadlines on multiple projects 
  • Good analytical skills to make data-driven decisions 
  • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter Ads, social publishing tools and social listening tools
  • Photoshop experience is a plus
  • Photography experience is a plus
  • Video editing experience is a plus
