Under management direction, the Site Security Coordinator plans and directs the security function for a specific site or region.  This position within Western Digital Global Security has an area of accountability in terms of organizational assets and personnel and assists in the development, implementation, and management of the tactical planning for a site's security services including assisting in the approach, deployment and execution of site-level investigations, and team-based systems development.    



As Site Security Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting day to day operations for physical security at the Milpitas site, along with oversight of the other North American legacy Sandisk locations.  Duties include ownership of all security systems (Controlled Access, CCTV, Alarms) and provide oversight to the Security contractors (including guard services, Operations Center, and integrators).





  •  Provide support for all security operations
  • Responsible for understanding, maintaining and running all security systems
  • Responsible for overseeing, measuring and testing the security contractor (guard services)
  • Interact with all site organizations to enhance the security of the location
  • Responsible for adequate management of the lock & key system
  • Main focal point for the security operations center and its operations.


The Site Security Coordinator is expected to lead by example, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The Site Security Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and participating with local compliance, governmental or regulatory agencies in their geographic region as the local subject matter expert (SME). The Site Security Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining close relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement, regulatory and governmental equivalent entities, intelligence and private sector counterparts to ensure all site Security programs align with and support one another.  

In alignment with Western Digital Global Security governance policies and requirements, the Site Security Coordinator will coordinate with the Director of Global Security to develop and implement standards, procedures, processes, and training to ensure protection of executives, managers, employees, visitors, physical assets, intellectual properties and information assets, while ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment.  The Site Security Coordinator plans, develops and implements procedures to obtain, maintain, secure, analyze, account for, and provide information from assessment reports and manages complex security improvement programs across business units within their site.  



Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position with a minimum of 2 years of experience; at least 1 year is specific and demonstrated security experience or a combination of education and direct experience; or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience, at least 2 years of which is specific and demonstrated security experience; or a combination of education and direct experience. Preferred security experience includes law enforcement, military, intelligence, public service or private sector security organizations.
