Reporting to the VP of Enterprise People Strategy, Development and Culture, the Director of Enterprise Talent Solutions (ETS) is responsible for building and leading enterprise wide Talent Management and Talent Development programs and processes. He/She will design, develop and manage all global talent- related tools, frameworks, processes and programs while leveraging workforce data and analytics to drive the effectiveness of business focused Talent Management and People Development strategies.  He/ She will partner and build trusted relationships with other HR colleagues and senior business leaders to closely align all enterprise talent strategies and initiatives with the company’s overall business priorities and talent plans.  This role requires a continuous improvement mindset to establish processes and guidelines ensuring support of the talent solution deployment via increased clarity of frameworks, toolkit creation, leading train-the trainers, etc.


·       Be the Subject Matter Expert and Owner within the global Center of Excellence (COE) of a growing portfolio of global talent development programs including a Global Manager Development Program (GMDP), a Senior Leader Coaching Process, Assessments, Team Facilitation methodology and New Hire Orientation.  

  • Program Manage/Own the Global Performance Management Process, including partnership with key Business and HR stakeholders.
  • Design, implement and lead Train-the-Trainer sessions for internal facilitators on highly interactive manager and professional development programs, Talent Management processes and tools, using a variety of instructional techniques and methods.
  • Measure and communicate results of learning interventions and adoption and impact of Talent management initiatives using appropriate methods for determining participant reaction, ability to demonstrate new skills and behavioral impact.
  • Present solutions and business cases to Senior Executives to drive buy-in on global solutions.
  • Effectively scope projects, develop project plans and milestones, and communication and change management plans for successful completion of the projects.
  • Align talent and development programs with Diversity & Inclusion expectations and Company Culture attributes.
  • Contribute to the assessment of Western Digital’s talent needs understanding current and future leadership gaps and Talent strategies to meet future talent, skill and leadership needs.
  • Work in very high collaboration across the Enterprise People Strategy, Development and Culture team as well as across all of HR.
  • Create a talent ecosystem:  Share and manage talent solutions knowledge effectively to build a community of expertise to enable and develop relevant HR team members.
  • Design, implement and manage a review/revision and continuous improvement process including establishment of stakeholder feedback loops, evaluative data analysis, and other relevant inputs and criteria.
  • Continuously monitor the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of programs and Talent Development / Talent Management Initiatives globally.



  • 10-12 years minimum related experience with at least 8 years working in roles specific to Learning, Organizational Development and/or Talent Management.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree, MS/MBA (or equivalent) in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or Related Field preferred.
  • Experience working in a large-scale global, high growth, innovative, multi-cultural company, with exposure collaborating with colleagues and employees outside the US.
  • Deep knowledge in the areas of Talent Development, Talent Management and related components.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders including Senior leaders.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing organizational talent requirements and translating these into practical application and approaches for talent management and development.
  • Knowledge and experience with change management methodologies and leading and facilitating organization/ transformational change initiatives.
  • Highly collaborative:  Although there will be a small team to support this role, this person will program manage several key initiatives directly.
  • Strong communication and presentations skills, ability to create high-impact, compelling presentations geared to Senior Executives.
  • Ability to work with and influence a wide range of cross-functional work teams and leaders within a matrix organization.
  • Work effectively in a highly changing, global and dynamic environment, demonstrating ability to learn and adjust quickly, and bring others along when designing or implementing new initiatives.
