ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical leadership for the ASIC chip and design leads to enable the RTL development team to deliver the RTL code to the verification, ASIC implementation and FPGA implementation groups.
  • Work closely with the System Architects, ASIC Architecture group and other stakeholders to develop ‘best in class’ Enterprise SSD controllers that meet the feature, schedule, power, cost and resource requirements.
  • Support the RTL development manager to coordinate the ASIC development activities at all levels (module, subsystem IPs, SoC, Formal, GLS and FPGA).
  • Track progress and performance while helping the development of engineers.
  • Lead the ASIC RTL development process improvements.
REQUIRED:
  • Experience with managing, multi-site, design development team.
  • Previous Project/Team leadership roles with multiple ASIC tape outs
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in all aspects of RTL development. (i.e. micro-architecture, design specs, design reviews, RTL development process, test plan, power estimation, die size estimation, cross-functional ASIC support).
  • Familiarity with Storage and SSD related protocols such as PCIe/NVMe/SATA/SAS, NAND and DDR.
  • Good working experience with System Verilog for Design
  • Hands on knowledge and experience working with high speed ASIC interfaces in ASIC: DDR, PCIe and/or SAS
  • Understanding of Design for Test and ASIC floor planning and ASIC timing closure.
  • Excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
  • BS/MS in EE/CE, plus 10+ years of ASIC RTL design experience, plus 4+ years of Management experience
  • Familiarity with ASIC, Computer and Embedded Systems Architectures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with people at all levels, a must.
  • Team player, with excellent debugging skills
