ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in preparation of international tax calculations, such as subpart F, GILTI, 956, 163j, etc. for the U.S. tax return.  Note that various individuals within our internal tax department complete international and domestic tax calculations and a high degree of communication and collaboration is a must. Also required for this position are advanced MS Excel capabilities and an ability to manage significant amounts of data.
  • Assist in preparation of the above calculations for the U.S. tax provision.
  • Assist in preparation and review of U.S. tax compliance forms related to foreign operations, including 5471s, 8858s,1120Fs, 5472s, and 1042s.Review and monitor foreign tax credit, subpart F, section 956 inclusion and related matters.
  • Research and documentation in connection with the above responsibilities.
  • Addresses tax implications of acquisitions including the closure of any foreign subsidiaries, as necessary.
  • Assist the tax department is in compliance with the requirements of Section 404 of Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
 
REQUIRED:

Education, Certifications, and/or Licenses and Experience

(Minimum Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA license or MBT (Master in Business Taxation) preferred, but not required.
  • 4 + years of tax experience with a “Big 4” CPA firm or a major corporation desired
 
SKILLS:
  • Moderate knowledge of US and International tax principles, GAAP and other related U.S. accounting standards
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Word and Power Point
  • Proficiency in, or the ability and willingness to become proficient in, OneSource tax preparation system.
  • Apply advanced English language skills to:
    • Read, analyze, and interpret financial and legal documents
    • Write complex business correspondence using excellent grammar, correct punctuation and spelling, cohesive structure, concise working and appropriate tone
  • Apply concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, algebra.  Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  
  • Manage large amounts of financial data.
  • Deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases  
  • Deal with a wide variety of abstract and concrete variables
  • Communicate confidently and clearly
  • Conduct business and perform responsibilities in ethical manner   
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal personnel and/or external contacts   
  • Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints from employees, senior management, governmental or regulatory agencies, and auditors
  • Maintain strict confidentiality as required by law/regulation/company policy on financial performance/data
  • Some travel may be required (both international and domestic)
