The position focuses on supporting the Business Unit planning, budgeting, consolidation and analysis. He/she serves as a finance business partner, providing financial thought leadership to support leadership team in assessment of business performance and trends.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain/evolve revenue & margin forecasting models and metrics
  • Work with budget managers to prepare headcount, expense, and capital budgets
  • Prepare and drive operational and financial metrics in support of key decision making
  • Report and analyze Price/Mix/Volume trends and key drivers
  • Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting and as needed to provide insight and support for pending decisions
  • Implement process improvements, possibly involving utilization of information systems
  • Participate in projects related to financial systems or business processes
REQUIRED:
  • BS Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred, but not required
  • 5-7 years of relevant finance and accounting experience in the high tech or similar industry
  • Strong financial systems expertise. Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Business Objects Planning is a requirement
SKILLS:
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills using Microsoft Excel; Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to summarize complex and technical issues / analysis into simple and clear messaging for Senior management
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Extremely detail oriented, well organized, high standard of accuracy and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work both independently and on cross functional teams
  • Strong team-player who can collaborate with colleagues
