1)      Partner with development and be the Voice of Quality who can assess hardware and firmware product quality and reliability at key product reviews.

2)      Represent quality and the customer as approver for product readiness at key design checkpoints.

3)      Understand customer quality and reliability requirements and product use cases and apply that knowledge to ensure the requirements are achieved for each product.

4)      Recommend design, test methods, and production procedures for achieving required levels of product quality and reliability.

5)      Develop and execute the appropriate quality and reliability tests to validate the product meets design specifications; quality and reliability requirements; and customer use conditions throughout the product life.

6)      Develop new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems with product design, materials, processes, or product quality and reliability. Make recommendations for changes in the selection and application of components and systems.

7)      Advance the teams capabilities to address new market needs and technologies.
