Under Security management direction, the Global Security Business Support and Budget Administrator assists with security systems administration, including access control credentials and other access control issues, video imaging, camera issues and system integrator administration, assists with the risk assessment for management of changing areas related to security equipment control including tracking of purchase orders and invoices for security equipment related vendors.

 

1.   Principle Duties:
      SECURITY SYSTEMS OWNERSHIP

  • Responsible for knowing current status, locations of , quantities of, vendor, model, make and technical specifications of each system, including connectivity requirements.

  • Monitor performance of the system, highlight any issues, follow up on solution to resolution:

  • Initiate purchase order, service call, work order, etc., as necessary.

  • Verify that work was completed as requested.

  • Provide training and guidance on security systems; create and maintain operator instructions, procedures, security system drawing, and related documentation as appropriate.

  • Responsible for service maintenance agreements (SMAs) for equipment & services, service level agreements (SLAs) for software, monitoring agreements, and timely renewal of said agreements.

  • Document and update any related security equipment processes or procedures.

  • Keep up to date on leading edge technology and make recommendations for improvements or enhancements.

       Systems include:
  • Intrusion Alarm
  • CAS (Controlled Access System)
  • Parking lot access control system
  • CCTV  (Closed Circuit TV)
  • Intercom
  • Exacom Recording System (for Radios and Telephones)
  • Metal detectors, Walk through scan, X-rays machine scanner.
2.   SYSTEMS INTEGRATOR CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

  • Be the main focal point for the systems integrator vendor.

  • Responsible for creating the scope of work, contract verbiage, and participating in the bid & contract award process.

  • Responsible for monitoring the integrator’s performance to the contract

  • Create and enforce a process for work order generation, verification of completion of work, and weekly work hour reconciliation,.

  • Ensure adequate coverage by the integrator.

  • Track purchase order balance.

3.    CAS ADMINISTRATOR

  • Be the subject matter expert (SME) on controlled access and alarm system.

  • Responsible for knowing the software functionality, level, who to contact for issues at the vendor, what the details of the service contract are, how it interfaces with other systems (readers, badges, alarms, other IT programs, the datacenter, etc.).

  • Be able to run reports:  including quarterly reports for review by CAS owners, reports on request to identify access, badge type, etc.

  • Keep database up to date and maintain its integrity.

  • Implement a data backup plan and execute accordingly.

  • Knowledge and accountability for badge readers; how many, where located, type, make, model, etc.

  • Purchase badge stock, badge printer stock, CAS readers, etc.

  • Provide input on consolidation of legacy WD vs HGST vs SanDisk badge systems

4.     ALARM SYSTEMS
  • Be the SME on the alarm system.
  • Document and audit proper procedures for receiving alarms and appropriate response, turning safe alarms on/off, testing all alarms.
  • Take appropriate steps to fix equipment as necessary when alarms indicate malfunctioning doors or readers.
5.    INTEGRATION

  • This position is key to the ultimate integration of security systems between Western Digital’s entities.

  • Must be able to understand current systems as well as learn other entities’ systems, share system information, look for optimum solutions.

  • Combination Tasks:

          - Participate or represents security meeting as necessary.

          - Coordinate special project related to security work.
          - Coordinate with Departments Heads regarding the monitoring of performance   

            appraisals for security sub-contractor

          - Ensure commonality/standardization among same processes/system within related 

             manufacturing sites.


Qualifications 

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in IT, computer science, any engineering, Information technology and IT security or equivalent or other related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT or engineering work experience; at least 1 year is specific and demonstrated security experience or a combination of education and direct experience.
  • Experience with equipment installation, system and application, machine PM will be prefer.

  • Self-motivate High responsibility, Good personality, and Good Interpersonal skill.
  • Fluent in English both writing and speaking.
  • Good human relation and strong on leadership and personnel interaction.
  • Be able to work under pressure

SKILLS:
  • Ability to use computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, databases, and email.
  • Ability to perform field repairs of security systems equipment (i.e. reader troubleshooting and replacements, analysis of door hardware and control panel malfunction).
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Be able to multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills.
  • Respond to emergency situations and manage critical incidents.
