Job Description Summary

As a Product Marketing Manager for Data Center Devices, you will be responsible for developing our segment and product strategy in SSDs and HDDs to drive long-term profitable growth for Western Digital. We are looking for innovative and strategic thinkers to join our Technical Product Marketing team.


  • Actively communicate with customers, discuss advanced features and capabilities to help position WDC products and drive new design in opportunities
  • Develop deep market knowledge and expertise through customer interaction, ecosystem partnerships and industry analyst relationships
  • Represent “Voice of the Customer” in product definition and priorities planning sessions for future storage devices to meet the needs of the data center market
  • Deliver high quality product positioning collateral and marketing campaigns that resonate with customers and partners, relating relevant product capabilities in terms that they understand
  • Create and maintain detailed market analysis, go to market (GTM) plans, and product business cases that clearly articulate the business opportunities and priorities
  • Support Western Digital’s Sales, Channel Enablement and Technical Support teams to provide best-in-class sales motion efforts


This position requires an individual with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant Enterprise SSD/HDD/storage and product marketing experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; MBA preferred
Ability to communicate at the executive level with customers, key industry analysts, and press
Demonstrated business acumen and critical thinking skills
Experience leading cross-functional teams and working across multiple locations
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally



Experience working for/with Hyperscale or Cloud customers a plus
