The IT-CRM team at Western Digital is responsible for enabling our marketing, sales and support teams with cutting edge applications built on Model N platform. We are seeking a seasoned Model N Architect who will be responsible for working with the business analyst teams to convert the given business requirements into technical solutions and implement them in the Model N platform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsibilities 

     

    • Lead analysis and design based on business requirements
    • Lead technical design, gathering requirements and scope of work, writing technical documents, collaboratively develop innovative solutions, and communicate architecture and designs.​
    • Design and develop high quality and scalable application code using Java ,SQL , etc.,​
      Provides process context and prioritization and works with team and customer to resolve conflicts​
    • Builds executive level relationships across business and technical boundaries.​
    • Thinks out of the box to develop solutions. Defines scopes, directs and oversees initiatives.  ​
    • Plays lead role in customer and internal initiatives.​
    • Has deep and board knowledge of various technologies. Provides technical brown bag sessions to educate less experienced staff members​
    • Conducts design review sessions.​
    • Provide project and technical analysis.​
    • Define and design implementation processes. Analyze current business processes, configuration and deployment of the application suite​
    • Identify business and technical issues throughout project that could impact requirements, scope or schedule​
    • Identify potential project issues and solutions, perform requirements sessions and GAP analysis​
    • Develop and customize the application suite using Java, Oracle and Scripting languages​
    • Assist customers with technical tasks related to implementations (hardware/software selection and sizing), application deployment and interface strategy ​
    • Drive data conversion and migration efforts​
    • Work with customers to explain format of data, mapping and analyzing content and perform data loading and report errors.

    Required Experience: 

    • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.  Graduate degree preferred in Computer Science or related field. ​
    • 8+ years’ experience on enterprise software implementations​
    • 5+ years’ experience as an Architect on successful (Oracle, Java, J2EE )​
    • Strong experience developing java commercial business applications as part of a collaborative team​
    • Experience working with Web application servers, integration and deployment.
    • Must have 5+ years’ experience of Model N with solutions such as Configure Price Quote (CPQ), Pricing Management, Deal Management, Channel Management, Deal Intelligence, Rebates Management solutions, and/or Revenue Cloud Administration in High-Tech industries
    • Must have 3+ years' experience of Model N ProLink using XML or SOAP web service request, Rebate Load, and Payment Export functions
    • Experience in Oracle Database and DB2 database using tools as, but not limited to, SQL*Plus, or SQL*Developer
    • Experience in supporting multi-tier application architectures and working in an Agile development environment
    • Experience with a broad range of technology areas including SaaS technologies, databases/sql, application servers, scripting languages, and analytics solutions
    • Middleware background Oracle SOA/TIBCO is desirable
    • Drive data loading efforts to Model N. Work with customer to explain format of data, help customer with mapping, analyze content, perform data loading, and report errors to customer
    • High energy individual with positive attitude who can work as part of a cross-functional team
    • Demonstrated track record of goal achievement
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and effectively meet project deliverables on time
    • Ability to effectively change design and development approaches as the business requirements dictate
    • Good Communication, Presentation & Documentation skills, Email Etiquette
