Measurement and Analytics Specialist

A leader in data infrastructure and Fortune 150 company, Western Digital is seeking a research, measurement and analytics specialist to help the North America public relations and analyst relations team execute informed content and media strategies in the region, as well as globally. With a focus on the research and analysis of media coverage and content, the ideal candidate will exercise their organizational and analytical skills to uncover insights that contribute to smart media relations and content development initiatives. The person filling the role will use tools, curiosity and judgment, as well as formal research, to report on program effectiveness, identify opportunities and support the team with relevant data and insights. The role reports to the team’s content strategist and supports all business units.

 

Functions:

·       Research and analyze data to identify trends in support of media and content      strategies

·       Track program performance, create dashboards and reports, recommend optimization tactics

·       Conduct competitive and benchmark reviews and audits, present results and provide analysis

·       Utilize research and data to support content strategiest in developing content themes and messaging frameworks

·       Leverage data insights and marketing knowledge to help PR teams define and tell the brand story

·       Collaborate with content specialists to develop data-dependant content assets

·       Monitor and advise on trends and innovations in digital marketing, analytics and tools

 

Qualifications:

·       Minimum of 2 years’ experience in analytics, reporting and research within a marketing team in an enterprise or agency environment; PR or internal communications experience a plus

·       Extensive experience developing reports utilizing digital tools for web analytics (Adobe, Google), social listening and insights, media monitoring and digital marketing

·       Position manages projects, requiring the ability to direct, lead, influence and negotiate with others

·       Skilled at working with a large number of stakeholders and managing deadlines on multiple projects

·       Excellent writing, editing, communication and presentation skills

·       Energetic, creative, positive and proactive; works with a sense of urgency

·       Intermediate skills in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint

·       Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field
