Western Digital is seeking a Global Social Media Manager to support its B2B and commercial products in the data center, automotive, mobile, surveillance and other markets. In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team to plan, create and execute paid and organic social media and digital content campaigns with the goal of driving awareness, engagement and conversions for Western Digital branded products. You will also drive partnerships and sponsorships with key influencers as appropriate. As part of the larger Product Communications team, including public relations, analyst relations, influencer relations and social media, this role provides strategic guidance to regional communications teams.We are looking for an avid marketer and creative storyteller who is passionate about the possibilities of data. You will have a keen appreciation for technology and be comfortable engaging with our community on technical subjects on social media.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Direct, develop, create, and curate compelling content for social media that can be leveraged across platforms and global channels
  • Perform community management and establish the outward voice for the company on social channels Work with influencers to develop, curate and drive across social channels
  • Identify strategic partnerships and sponsorships for Western Digital that provide clear ROI
  • Develop, concept and execute GTM social campaigns that achieve targeted business impact for data center, surveillance, automotive, mobile and IoT verticals, among others
  • Create and manage paid social media campaigns and develop reports for stakeholders
  • Coordinate GTM planning with internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent Western Digital at events, industry shows, community engagements, customer and internal meetings
  • Establish KPIs that measure the effectiveness of digital content and campaigns globally
  • Liaison with regional marketing teams to provide content and best practices for digital and social media

REQUIRED:

  • 6+ years of social media marketing experience
  • Experienced in social media platforms, analytics, publishing and advertising tools
  • Demonstrated experience in community management for a global brand
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, proven ability to develop content to match brand voice
  • Detail oriented and organized, manage deadlines on multiple projects
  • An energetic, creative self-starter with the ability to manage/influence a team
  • Experience working globally with a large number of stakeholders
  • Collaborative partner
  • Good analytical skills to make data-driven decisions, develop reports and deliver findings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
