We are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Executive Vice President & General Manager, HDD Business. In this role you will be trusted to work with the highest level of confidentiality and be expected to become familiar with the products, people, and organizational dynamics within Western Digital. You will become a core member of the senior support team collaborating with your administrative peers and engaging with the Executive Leadership team.


The ideal candidate is focused, organized, proactive, and innovative. We’re seeking someone who is flexible and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong critical thinking and attention to detail are equally meaningful in this role. Having a sense of humor is a must!


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Calendar Management: View the calendar through a strategic lens to schedule meetings that support the executive’s goals. Proactively solicit agendas and manage attendee lists.
  • Meeting Planning and Organization: Assists in the planning and organizing of internal and external meetings, team offsites, and organizational wide meetings. Obtain briefing documents for key internal/external meetings and create briefing packets for business trips.
  • Correspondence/Approvals: Act as a proxy for communications and approvals as authorized. Act a as a source for general inquiries and refer routine matters to appropriate parties.
  • Travel: Manage complex international and domestic travel. Process Passports and Visas.
  • Expense Management: Reconcile expenses in a timely manner adhering to WD’s global expense policies.
  • Tool Management: Manage expense reports, PO’s, and become an expert of WD’s internal tools. Partner with executive tech support teams to ensure flawless execution when video conferencing and other meeting technologies are used.
  • Projects: Partner with CEO’s office on special projects, including researching issues, analyzing problems, and determining approach.
  • Leadership: Along with ELT administrative peers, act as a leader for the  administrative  community across the company.
 
SKILLS:
  • At least 5 years of executive administrative experience at the C-level, preferably in the high-tech industry
  • Advanced knowledge of Mac/Windows desktop computer applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Avid user of Social Media
  • Strategic, forward-looking thinker
  • Ability to prioritize and manage complex issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and  detail-oriented
  • Excellent time management   skills
  • Collaborative style, team player
  • Demonstrates leadership
  • Ability to work in Milpitas and San Jose offices as needed
