ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

   

  • Define a clearly articulated social media marketing strategy designed to increase engagement and brand loyalty, and drive sales.
  • Build and execute digital campaigns and programs to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Manage and mentor Western Digital’s product social media team.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including public relations, digital strategy, corporate marketing, brand, digital marketing, eCommerce, and business units to deliver programs that meet business objectives.
  • Create compelling and relevant content that delivers thought leadership, engagement, traffic and leads.
  • Drive the growth of our customer base and increase engagement and brand loyalty among prospective and existing customers.
  • Tailor strategies with a keen sense of what types of messages, stories, conversations and engagement models make sense for different audiences and roles.
  • Establish a strategy and best practices for engagement, response, customer service and reputation management across social platforms.
  • Equip global digital/social media teams with strategy, messaging and content.
  • Maintain a data-first approach to continually measure and optimize performance, improve conversion and ROI.
  • Drive effective CPAs and test strategies.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive research to help inform digital strategies.
  • Keep current with latest trends and best practices in digital marketing.

 

  

 

 

REQUIRED:

 

  • Extensive digital marketing experience in B2B and B2C tech - demand generation and brand amplification.
  • A passion for team building and mentoring. Proven experience leading highly engaged teams.
  • Demonstrated success creating and executing global, multichannel social media programs leveraging content syndication, advertising and media, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, and proven track record in making data-driven decisions to continually optimize performance and determine future investments.
  • Ability to operate and excel at strategic as well as tactical levels. Willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done.
  • Willing to take strategic risks to expand the potential for social media impact.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, both at the executive level and with peers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong presentation, problem-solving and budget management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
