As Director, HR Communications, you will be responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of all global HR communications and building a compelling and cohesive narrative focused on the employee experience and engagement.  This includes leading a global team responsible for creating communication strategies that highlight the innovation and value of our HR programs and playing a vital role in communication activities with an aim in increasing employee engagement.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead development and implementation of compelling communication strategies that weave in cohesive, key messages from the organization
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to drive content related to enterprise-wide HR programs, processes and events
  • Provide executive communications support for CHRO
  • Provide leadership for the HR Communications team in creating a sense of community across the global HR team and supporting our journey to High Impact HR
  • Drive innovative approaches leveraging modern technology to deliver communication in more efficient and effective ways
  • Manage on-line HR content via company platforms and tools - providing vision and content for both internal and external sites
  • Support development of a compelling editorial calendar that brings our HR programs, processes and events to life
  • Listen and seek to understand how employees want to be communicated with and leverage that information in the development of communication strategies
  • Create timely content our audience is looking for including thought leadership event abstracts and post-event recaps, video summaries and more
  • Proactively identify new content initiatives that support our thought leadership efforts
  • Introduce industry forward approaches and technology, tools and equipment by staying connected to external networks, associations and vendors
  • Establish and regularly review metrics with a focus on continuous improvement of campaign effectiveness and usage of various communication vehicles
  • Lead a global team in the creation of innovative designs, concepts and layouts
  • Ensure communication plans are aligned to company brand and communication standards

 

QUALIFICATIONS & CAPABILITIES

  • Bachelor's with 10+ years of experience in internal employee communications
  • Strong people leader with 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience communicating to a global audience using multiple types of communication channels
  • Experience with or exposure to strategic change management and change communication strategies preferred
  • Ability to create compelling communications - written, presentation, verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to take the initiative and problem solve
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to develop innovative communication strategies
  • Experience with web publishing and social media platforms
