ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the creation and delivery of programs and processes designed to increase inclusion, equity and diversity throughout the company’s global business.
  • Develop and manage D&I dashboards and methods for tracking metrics that measure the progress and effectiveness of inclusive processes and diverse representation at the company.
  • Manage the global deployment of corporate-wide “Managing Bias” training and other inclusive leadership development workshops, as well as propose additional cross-cultural development in partnership with internal HR functions.
  • Assist in the corporate-wide recruitment, retention and promotion of women and underrepresented groups across the global organization.
  • Act as an advocate and representative for Western Digital in key diversity partnerships and conferences as well as engage with leaders to encourage increased involvement.
  • Partner with existing affinity and employee resource groups (ERGs) to maximize their contributions in alignment with the company’s D&I strategy.
  • Serve as a thought leadership partner with the VP of Global Equity, Inclusion & Diversity to influence internal and external stakeholders and spark innovative D&I thinking.

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with Master’s degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • 10 years plus of experience in Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, or relevant experience. Prior experience leading teams is a plus.
  • Proven track record in managing major projects, and leading execution of big programs across large organizations with multiple constituents.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and driving process improvements across a global workplace.
  • Proven track record of influencing, leading and facilitating enterprise-wide initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders (Exec Leadership Team and Business Leadership Sponsors).
  • Strong command of data with expertise in pulling and analyzing metrics.
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and Project Management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills across levels, with an ability to persuade and influence, and the ability to build enthusiasm and commitment.
