Western Digital® is seeking a Search Engine Marketing Specialist who is passionate about eCommerce and has strong experience with running paid digital campaigns. If you love digital advertising and contributing to the growth of the organization, then you have come to the right place.

As Digital Marketing Specialist you are a creative and analytical marketing strategist with 2-3 years of experience running Google and Microsoft Advertising campaigns. This includes paid search, display, shopping, and video advertising. This individual will be a key player in scaling our eCommerce business, contributing to overall revenue growth.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and optimize our search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns in Google and Microsoft Advertising to showcase our products and convert customers.
  • Maximize profit through campaign bidding, ensuring that we grow the business with the right customer acquisition, conversion, and retention strategies. Apply smart bidding strategies that automatically adjust our bids based on business goals.
  • Evaluate and execute new ad formats for display, shopping, and video (YouTube) campaigns, selecting the right budget and creative for better reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Partner with internal brand managers to align all messaging around campaign goals and creative. Write ad headlines and descriptions, and partner with our creative team on assets such as web banners and videos.
  • Select relevant keywords for our business. Add negative keywords to reduce costs and prevent our ads from being shown to the wrong people.
  • Organize the advertising accounts and keywords to ensure that campaigns are structured by common themes, products, and goals. Group keywords to ensure that we bid on the most relevant terms for our business.
  • Build mobile-ready landing pages in partnership with our Web Operations team, to improve our funnel and optimize our conversion rate. Landing pages must be relevant, establish trust, and make it easy for the customer to shop with us.
  • Partner with our SEO manager on campaigns, keywords, content, and landing pages.
  • Gauge the interests and behaviors of our customers through internal and external data, with tools such as the Google Consumer Barometer and Graph Builder.
  • Work with our translation team to update all creative for geographic relevancy.
  • Manage our merchant feeds to ensure that product, pricing, shipping, and delivery options within Google Shopping match our eCommerce platform.
  • Optimize ad sets with elements such as ad extensions and improvements to Quality Scores.
  • Track and speak knowledgeably about key performance indicators (KPIs), such as impressions, clicks, clickthrough rate (CTR), conversions, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEM industry trends.

 

REQUIRED:

  • 2-3 years of experience with paid search campaigns, preferably for a consumer technology or search marketing agency.
  • Passionate about all channels of digital marketing, including video, affiliates, marketplaces, and social media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the company.
  • Must be a pro-active, hands-on, and high-energy individual.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud products (AdCloud, Analytics, Audience Manager).
  • Advanced user of SEM platforms and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
