As the content strategist, you will create content, including contributed articles/executive bylines and blogs, presentations, video scripts and speeches, as well as form content strategies that leverage our expertise, portfolios and assets across multiple paid, earned, shared and owned platforms. You will play a key role in the company’s overall thought leadership program and ongoing campaigns designed to build awareness and perceptions with critical audiences, such as media, the investment community, and other industry influencers, as well as customers.

 

You will be able to produce smart, engaging content with great accuracy and quick turnarounds. You will be comfortable working with technical people and information, as well as with senior executives, and be skilled at using data as a tool for visualization, story-telling and analysis. You’ll develop and manage a content calendar for the company, and work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and agencies responsible for content distribution and syndication across regions. The right candidate will have a clear understanding of today’s continually changing editorial and digital content landscapes, and how to implement programs for business impact.

 
The position reports to the Sr. Director, Public Relations.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contribute to business objectives through strategic and effective use of impactful content
  • Develop and execute content strategies for all appropriate channels
  • Write, edit and produce content for all business units and corporate programs
  • Collaborate and communicate with multiple cross-functional teams to align on content and campaigns
  • Develop and manage a content calendar
  • Decipher technical content into plain-language customer benefits, as well as communicate with technical audiences on their level
  • Work with global communications team to address needs of all regions
  • Analyze results of strategies through KPIs
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of journalism, communications or content creation experience (or equivalent marketing experience) at a technology company; data storage industry expertise a plus.
  • Proven track record of producing quality content on time and with great accuracy.
  • Portfolio of published articles, either as a ghostwriter or under your name.
  • Exceptional writing and copy editing skills.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills; able to stay on top of multiple projects and deadlines at once.
  • High-performing individual contributor; works well independently or as part of a team.
  • Possesses a high degree of integrity and maturity; exercises good judgment at all times.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships at all levels.
  • Four-year college degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Business or Marketing.
