This position will be part of the Business Operations team with a mission to drive global sales revenue and customer satisfaction by scaling policies and processes. We partner with Sales Support, Finance, Supply Chain, and Logistics to fulfill sales orders easier, smarter, and scale by providing all the necessary operational support and by delivering solutions that help to unlock Western Digital’s full potential.

 

We are looking for a hands-on and driven Business Operations Specialist to run the day-to-day operations in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity to support our Global Sales teams with an operator mindset. Active collaboration with cross-functional teams across Revenue Ops, Finance, Central Planning, Logistics, and Legal, etc. is crucial for the effective execution of this role.

 

The successful candidate must be pro-active, detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for promoting best practices and increasing order processing system adoption to position our internal teams to meet their short and long-term goals. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker who is comfortable with interacting with departmental leaders as well as various cross-functional teams throughout the organization. Additionally, the candidate should also have the enthusiasm to lead projects and drive outcomes.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the business architect and project manager for Business Operations for the order-to-cash project.
  • Formulate project implementation plans and manage milestones for business execution, B2B automation for order intake, etc.
  • Drive process improvements, harmonize data, and integration for order-to-cash execution across all business units and product segments
  • Identify risks, communicate, and work on mitigation strategies and actions to achieve the project goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements, assess applications, or tool capabilities.
  • Ensure internal policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures are up-to-date as the business process evolves.
  • Own enhancements and maintenance of the ERP system to guide and scale Business Operations processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting, analytics, and operational support to the management team.
  • Manage to a scrum methodology with periodic sprints on deliverables, clear communication updates, and prioritization of incoming requests from the Business Ops team.
  • Serve as a key subject matter expert on complex critical business issues and processes with particular emphasis on Order to Cash systems and SOX process.
  • Collaborate with Training and Enablement organizations to plan and deploy end-user training and ensure successful change management.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiency and elimination of manual tasks.
  • Partner closely with Global Automation Project Management, IT, and Regional Business Operations leaders to proactively drive continuous business process improvement and simplification.
  • Develop and manage training materials and communication plans to ensure all stakeholders are up to date.
  • Review support changes to ensure they are producing the desired outcomes.

 About You

  • 10+ years of experience in Business and Sales Operations in a high-growth technology field
  • Strong experience and passion in scoping, defining, documenting, and driving continuous business improvement processes
  • Experience driving cross-functional projects end-to-end
  • Ability to negotiate priorities across organizations
  • Ability to communicate the right level of information to executives and cross-functional teams at the right cadence
  • Strategic, structured problem solver
  • Strong analytical skills and eye for business
  • Aptitude for framing business questions with data, translating business needs into strategies, and executing tactics and process improvements
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while dealing with ambiguity with a strong sense of urgency, craftsmanship, and attention to detail with a knack for organization
  • Have experience influencing and earning the trust of senior stakeholders and moving business teams to take action
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written are a must for this position
