  • Monthly/quarterly financial close activities:
    • Analyze manufacturing variances and communicate relevancy
    • Prepare and post journal entries
    • Prepare account reconciliations
    • Prepare/coordinate schedules included in the monthly close package
    • Coordinate and respond to audit requests
    • Coordinate and oversee inventory cut-off and SAP inventory submodule close
  • Daily/weekly/quarterly cost accounting related activities:
    • Analyze quarterly standard costs revaluations
    • Coordinate and respond to SOX audit request
    • Review inventory control metrics and coordinate action items with offshore teams
    • Review inventory scrap and other special inventory movement requests
    • Compile and analyze data in connection with the quarterly standard cost updates

The individual will also drive high-visibility projects.  Typical projects include:

  • Improve metrics/accountability of our processes
  • Automate/improve processes/models/reports
  • Various ad-hoc cost analyses to drive decision-making
  • 2-5 years of manufacturing product costing experience in a multinational company
  • Past experience with cost accounting, reporting and audit response coordination
  • Oracle R12 experience
  • Proven record of cross-functional teamwork
  • Must be very organized and thorough
  • Good communication skills
